This programme provides a modularised Firefighter Foundation Programme which will equip new entrants to the Fire and Rescue Service, Civil Defence or Oil and Gas Industry, with foundation knowledge, skills and understanding to enable them to undergo further on-station acquisition and application training and development.

COURSE OUTCOMES

By the end of the 10 week modular programme, delegates are provided with the following specific NFPA standards:

  • NFPA 1001 Standard for Firefighter Professional qualifications
  • NFPA 1072 Standard for Competence of Responders to Hazardous Materials Incidents – Awareness Level
  • NFPA 1072 Standard for Competence of Responders to Hazardous Materials Incidents – Operations Core with Missions Specific PPE and Product Control levels.
