ATTENTION ALL SEAFARERS – DON’T BE LEFT BEHIND !
In conforming to the provisions of the STCW Convention Regulation 1/14, and section A-1/14, of the STCW Code, companies must ensure that seafarers assigned to any of their ships have received refresher training as required by the convention. In addition seafarers serving on board any ship must, as of the 1st of January 2017, have documentary evidence of either having completed the basic combined training course or updated their training within the last 5 years.
ISTC the International Safety Training College in Malta is the first training centre to have the STCW Basic Refresher course accredited by the flag authority of Malta and although updating will not be mandatory before 1 January 2017, it is important that individuals, training managers, ship owners and their representatives schedule the training well in advance before places become limited as the deadline fast approaches.
Please book your place well in advance. Send us your details here
